The Source has always offered the highest hospitality and service quality standards that one expects at 5-star accommodations and in moments like this there is no exception. As The Turks and Caicos Islands opens and the world begins to travel again, we would like to introduce you to some of the measures we are taking to safeguard the health, safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff members.
As we welcome back more and more guests, we are also pleased to share that we continue to offer extra flexibility on all new reservations so you can book with confidence.
The TCI Government has published new entry requirements and measured safety protocols governing the re-opening of the borders on the 22nd July, 2020. LEARN MORE.
Arrival & Departure
Everyone, including guests, staff, vendors, and suppliers arriving at our properties will visit the sanitization station outside the villas where they have their temperature checked and be required to sanitize their hands. Spare personal protective equipment is available should it be needed. We have also established longer turnover times to account for the more thorough cleaning protocols; check-in 3:30PM and check-out 10:30AM.
As outlined by the government, all local transport is fully sanitized after every journey. All passengers, including drivers must wear a face mask/face covering for the entirety of the journey. Drivers must follow the strictest hygiene standards and hand sanitizer is available in every vehicle. Read more here.
All team members at The Source have received enhanced COVID-19-related health and safety training. They will be required to wear personal protective equipment and practice as much as possible, physical distancing. For everyone’s safety and wellbeing uniforms will not be worn during travel to and from work and handshakes will be replaced with a nod and smile. Team members have also been instructed not to come to work if they are feeling unwell or had contact with anyone who is suspected of or confirmed to having Covid-19. Should a team member display any symptoms relating to the virus, they will be sent home and must be cleared by a physician prior to their return.
We have introduced new protocols that range from enhanced cleaning routines, hospital grade disinfectants to electro static sprayers for advanced sanitization and cleaning on days of changeover. For each arrival and upon each departure, steam-cleaning and sanitization of carpet and soft furnishings will take place and there will be placement of anti-bacterial gels and soaps for guests’ use.
Villas are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after every stay. Face masks are legally required in public areas; including grocery stores however this is not a requirement on the beaches where social distancing is an acceptable precaution. Every villa contains personal hygiene items such as a mask and hand sanitizer for guests use.
We believe guest safety should be extended throughout their stay including any offsite excursions and activities. The Source Concierge Team has personally vetted and put together a list of preferred vendors for guests’ reassurance. Government protocols for various tourist sectors can be found here.
We are continuously monitoring and following the changes in recommendations and guidelines of the TCI government, the TCI health authority, WHO, CDC and CARPHA, to continue working towards providing the best service possible while safeguarding the safety of our guests and team. All government policies can be found here.
